RAF Chair speaks at ARISE Resilience Forum in Mexico City

Resilience Action Fund Chair Aris Papadopoulos was a keynote speaker on October 30, 2019 at a Resilience Forum organized in Mexico City by UNDRR ARISE-Mexico, and attended by over 800 participants.

He spoke on ‘Strategies for Building Back Better’, one of the the key goals of the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction: 2015-30.  He stressed that ‘building back better’ requires already ‘building better from the start’, and those waiting to start the process after disaster strikes will have difficulty getting there.

Aris is a member of the ARISE’s 11-member global board, and served as first chair of the UNDRR’s private sector initiative.
